Comfort

Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius once said, "Comfort is the worst addiction." Comfort and comfort zone create an interesting dilemma. People strive for comfort, yet once obtained, they prefer the ease over striving.

The comfort zone can become an addiction for a productive individual. It emerges as a factor that diminishes one's creativity, productivity, and excitement. While providing a sense of security and comfort, it can hinder personal growth and experiencing new opportunities.

The most significant problem is that it dulls the ability to see things from different perspectives with a narrow worldview. However, opening ourselves to new ideas, cultures, and experiences not only broadens our perspective but also creates new opportunities.

Breaking the comfort zone involves taking small steps to undertake new tasks and meeting people outside your social circle. Magic happens outside the comfort zone already. Seizing new opportunities and developing new skills and relationships make you more vibrant.

Being comfortable can be everyone's goal and right; human history progresses by enhancing comfort. The problem here is the reluctance to leave the established comfort zone and psychological factors. Even countries can remain indifferent to problems in other parts of the world within their comfort zones. Therefore, it is essential to realize that the comfort zone is only a temporary comfort zone.

As in all other matters, we come back to the concept of "Awareness." As your awareness increases, you will find the magic outside your comfort zone more comfortably.
