Knowing the Value of Power

When we talk about knowing the value of power, an initially antipathetic thought may come to mind. There might be a perception that the powerful use their strength to suppress others, etc. However, the real power lies within the individual, and what is displayed externally is merely an interaction. Many Roman emperors, despite their position and acquired power, felt lonely and powerless, leading to negative behaviors and practices.

The crucial point is being aware of the power we possess within ourselves, not the power given to us. This awareness can be shaped by innate characteristics or experiences acquired over time. However, making an objective evaluation between one's inner ownership and external existence is quite challenging. We often tend to overlook this without realizing it. However, judgment, ethical understanding, observation, self-criticism, and interpreting events and our reactions with our knowledge and experience will add a level of awareness. It is at this point that if we manage to combine what we have gained with the power we possess, then we can truly understand the value of real power. In other words, if a person not only constructs their life through their actions but also uses the qualities that come from within, it gives real meaning to life. Otherwise, it doesn't go beyond virtual power and defined ego.

Since we can understand the value of our power by discovering it, we should start by increasing our level of awareness. Awareness begins with being able to turn inward, and this requires a bit of courage.

Be brave so that you may know the value of your power.
